Our TVI courses are specially designed to accommodate part-time students. Life is busy, and many students work while earning their degrees. We offer a hybrid schedule that allows you to keep working while pursuing your degree, making education accessible and convenient for everyone. On-campus residence is required for a total of only five days.

36-Credit MS in Education: 

  • For those with a state teaching certificate in special education or related fields, Dominican University offers an MS in Education for Teachers of Students with Blindness, preparing you for NY State Certification.
  • The program, completed in under 24 months, equips you to work with students with multiple impairments, blindness, and deaf-blindness.
  • Financial aid, including ITI Tuition Remission for future NY educators, TEACH Grants, and scholarships, may be available.

9-24 Credit Pathway: 

  • Non-matriculating pathway to prepare for the State Exam for a TVI teaching certification.
  • Open to applicants with a state teaching certificate in any educational area.
  • Includes courses in Assistive Technology, Orientation and Mobility, and Nemeth Code.
  • Completion in 12-18 months.
  • ITI Tuition Remission for future NY educators.
